Dillon
Dillon discovered his passion and gift for caring for animals when he got his first dog, Star, at the age of seven with his father, Star was a German Shepherd. Years later while Dillon was living in Los Angeles working in music, he found himself missing something: the selfless companionship of dogs.
That’s when Gunner, an energetic German Shepherd, entered his life. He worked with Gunner and multiple dog trainers in the Los Angeles area for over 3 years to build a strong foundation of obedience and protection.
Dillon found that training dogs was his calling in life, and that he had a natural talent for it. He started training different friends' dogs as a hobby. People would see him with Gunner and ask him who trained the dog, and that's how Full Potential K9 was born.
In January 2019, Dillon completed his professional training at one of the nation’s top dog trainers’ schools.
Dillon has successfully trained more than a 1,000 dogs as of today through his own dog training business, including 2 labs for the U.S Department of Defense to perform detection work, multiple A list celebrities, professional athletes (MLB, NFL, and NHL), and 5 different local veterinarians personal dogs. He continues to further his education by attending seminars for dog trainers around the globe, and recurring private coaching sessions with world level competitors.
Dillon is currently raising a Belgian Malinois puppy (Trower) for competition, along with 3 labrador retrievers for detection work. He is part of a local IGP club and plans to compete in IGP formerly known as Schutzhound/IPO along with AKC Field Trial Tests.
Emma
Emma grew up having a passion for animals and started her first job at age 15 working at a place called Westin Kennels. While working there, she became educated on the behaviors of dogs, their interactions with each other, and how to properly groom and care for dogs. It was at Westin Kennels where she met her first mentor. After two years of working for Westin Kennels, she moved to another kennel called The Yuppy Puppy pet spa as a kennel attendant. This included cleaning, medicating, and interacting with pet and rescue dogs. A large part of her responsibilities at Yuppy Puppy involved overseeing the dog daycare, understanding different breed behaviors, body languages, and ensuring all dogs were safe while having fun – as well as training several employees to be kennel attendants. After 4 years of rigorous kennel work, Emma was inspired and certain that she wanted to further her education at the nation’s top law enforcement k9 training schools. She focused primarily on law enforcement k9s and personal protection dogs, while also handling some pet dogs. After completing school, she went and worked for her first mentor back in her hometown. Emma has two dogs of her own, a one-year-old black lab named Groot, and a one-year-old Dutch Shepherd named Kreek. Emma is currently training Kreek to be a personal protection dog. She is the organization queen around here!
Taylor
Taylor is from Washington state, where she first started her job as a kennel assistant at Soo’s creek kennels when she was 16 years old. Her responsibilities included exercising, medicating, cleaning, and training kennel assistants at this facility. This is where she found her passion for the well-being of animals and pursued a bachelor’s degree in animal science at Washington State University. She has worked with many types of animals from exotics to agriculture animals - but canines are where her true passion lies. She moved to Florida this year to chase the sun and start her career with animals and looks forward to becoming a trainer over time!
